“The alcohol-free space is dominated by women, my 121 coaching clients are nearly all women and 75% of people that attended my sober masterclass were, you guessed it, women. However, most messages I receive from people that want my help are men, but they are either unwilling or unable to invest in 121 coaching which can be expensive, or they don’t like the idea of attending a one-off course. This leaves them with three choices, they carry on as they were, they try and do it themselves with no support around them or they end up in AA which isn’t for everyone.
Having witnessed this trend for over 2 years, I wanted to create something to specifically help lads that want to give up or take a break from drinking and everything else that comes with that lifestyle. I wanted to create something that was affordable and offered exceptional value, I wanted to build a team of lads that want to work together to live a more exciting and fulfilling life, I also wanted to start a community of people that can become friends with each other and me, that’s why I created OFF THE SESH.”

WHO IS IT FOR?
Off the sesh is for lads that have had enough of being stuck on the hamster wheel of life, living for the weekend, drinking the same drinks with the same people in the same places, talking about the same old nonsense. Or maybe caught in the cycle of drinking at home and not wanting to leave the house. Off the sesh is for lads who want to make progress with their life, their fitness, their health, but keep going back to square one because the alcohol is preventing them getting anywhere. Ultimately this is for lads that are fed up and feeling uninspired to get out of bed, lads that have lost their confidence and lads that are ready to make the right choices but need a bit of support in doing so.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Matt Pink quit the booze in April 2020, mid lockdown. Since then, he has built a significant following online through his Better Life Guy profile. Matt wrote and released the book “Better me, better you” in 2021 which went to number 1 in 7 different categories on Amazon and continues to help people all over the world.
Matt pioneered some of the biggest alcohol-free events the UK has ever seen including the now famous “No booze cruise” which saw over 250 people cruising down the river Thames sipping on 0% cocktails and alcohol-free beers. Following his desire to help people to change their relationship with alcohol, Matt trained for 10 months to become an accredited coach on the Arete way coaching course and graduated in the summer of 2022. Over the last two years Matt has helped hundreds of people to change their relationship with alcohol via his sober masterclass group coaching, as well as his 121 coaching, now he is ready to shift his focus to helping as many men as possible through his new venture, Off the sesh.
Perhaps Matt’s biggest achievement to date was co-founding the Dryy app alongside his close friend and now business partner, Andy Ramage. Dryy is one of the fastest growing apps within the alcohol-free space and offers a free app with free support, free events and a free community which has already helped over 5,000 people since launching in late 2022.
